To Honor The Fallen

Condolences to the family of SSgt. Olaf "Oz" Schmid, of the 2 Rifles Battle Group of the British Army. An expert bomb squad member, Schmid risked his own life to defuse more than 60 IEDs in Afghanistan, saving countless lives in the process. Schmid was killed instantly by the roadside bomb he was trying to defuse Saturday. It was to be his last mission before a two-week leave.

It saddens me that a soldier of any nation has to die because of the islamic scum that inhabit the world. May God give SSgt. Schmid eternal rest, and may He give soldiers of all nations the will, strength, and courage to fight the enemies of goodness and righteousness, until they are no more.

Faleh Hassan Almaleki was sent back to America from the UK, to face murder charges for running down his own daughter with his jeep. The 20-year-old woman, Noor, spent two weeks in a coma before succumbing to her injuries.

Her offense? Being too Westernized. Another "honor" killing in the name of Allah.

But not to worry. Pelosi-bitch spokesman Brendan Daly says the bill provides health care reform "in a way that is fiscally sound". I bet he even said it with a straight face. He also said that it "would not add one dime" to the deficit, which is technically true: it's actually going to add, in the words of Slim Pickens, "a shit-load of dimes."

Well, It's Like This...

The rants have been somewhat...gappy...lately here at the Sidearm. It's already November; Halloween weekend went by in a flash and just ate up the time.

But now that my coaching days are moving into hiatus for a while, I should be able to keep better track of the mean old world outside. That's the plan, anyway, unless real life intrudes, as is its wont.
