From the "Hang 'Em High" Department:
Duke University official Frank Lombard has been charged with offering his adopted 5-year-old son for sex. Lombard was arrested for trying to persuade an undercover cop to travel to North Carolina to have sex with his son. Lombard also admitted in an online chat with the officer that he has molested the boy since he was an infant. Officials have seized 5 computers, 2 webcams, and other material from Lombard's home...
..................
...excuse me, I had to take a slug of beer to calm down, and almost shattered the bottle in my hand.
Give the guy a fair trial. If he's found guilty, cut off his balls, ram them down his throat, then string him up in the nearest tree and leave him there until the crows are finished with him. What a disgusting bastard.
And fuck the ACLU, and NAMBLA, and any other bleeding-heart organization that tries to talk about civil rights and rehabilitation of sex offenders. Kill the fucker and be done with it. Then we'll be sure he won't hurt any other children.

The Fizzled King of Pop; An Angel Gets Her Wings
Michael Jackson, dead at 50. Of course, the news has taken over the air and cyber waves, pushing aside everything else, even Farrah Fawcett.
I was never a Michael Jackson fan, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. He had talent, yes, and one or two of his tunes were slightly catchy, but by and large I thought the vast majority of his work was garbage, and after Thriller it was all garbage.
So you'll excuse me if I don't jump on the band-hearse of regret. I'm not one to speak ill of the dead, unless they really deserve it, but I can't say I'm the slightest bit moved about Jackson's death. Unfortunate? Maybe. Heartrending? No.
Farrah, on the other hand, I'm a bit brought down about, because like most people my age, I'll always remember Farrah as a red-swimsuited hottie from TV, and not the strung-out ditz she became in recent years. Still, as long as the honesty train is in town, I always thought Jaclyn Smith was the hottest Angel.
I'm not posting links to either of these stories. If you can't find one on your own, I'll doubt you'll ever find your way back here to yell at me for it.

Can We Get Perez Hilton Some Time?
A church in Connecticut is in trouble over the exorcising of a "homosexual demon". The usual youth and gay rights and gay youth rights groups are in their normal tizzy over this, and want something done now, bitches!
First of all, this just goes to show you: let us Catholics handle the exorcisms. We know what we're doing, and we've got all the top schools on demon-bashing. That kind of thing is best handled by professionals, and frankly but politely, you Protestants just don't have the juice for that kind of thing. You need rituals and incense and Holy Water by the tanker-load, and that's our bag. Trust me on this one.
And I don't have anything against homosexuals per se; I've known more than a few: most were okay, some were irritating, a few were bitter irate jerks that just needed a good ass-kicking. I don't believe God would send someone to hell just for being gay. But the bitter irate jerk who does no good for anyone isn't going to hell because he's gay, he's going because he's a selfish, mean-spirited jackass.
Secondly, I'm having a hard time buying into the whole "gay demon" thing. I guess there must be a few, but with all the wickedly hot, sinfully naked succubi jiggling around hell...well, those gay demons must really have some issues.
I'm thinking that Perez Hilton needs these folks to pay a visit. Because he's gay, and acts like a demon most of the time: he's perpetually pissed off, always wants something for nothing, likes to belittle people from a safe distance, always has that oozy, snarky look on his face, and screams like...well, a demon...when things don't go his way. He'd be a nice minor-leaguer for these Protestant folks.

So Where Are the Problems?
According to a study done in 2006, 89% of Americans were, at that time, pleased with the quality of their health care.
I know I have no complaints about the availability or quality of my health care.
What really needs to be addressed in the health care issue is the tremendous cost of providing illegal immigrants with free health care, which is passed on to the consumer, and the abuses of the system, like taking your child to the emergency room just because he or she has the sniffles. These problems, coupled with laws and regulations and frivolous lawsuits that handcuff practitioners before a patient ever sets foot in the waiting room, are the root causes of any problems the health-care industry might have. Some blame, to be sure, can be laid at the feet of some drug companies and some insurance companies, but not nearly to the extent of what Hussein and the MSM like to tout.
And why does Hussein want to push this reform through? Because it's one more way for the government to try and control every single aspect of life in America. It has nothing to do with goodwill toward man, but everything to do with totalitarianism.

Will Any Sane Governors Please Stand Up?
I know all about jackass guvs; I live in Illinois, remember? Old Blago is a tough act to top. South Carolina guv Mark Sanford didn't quite make it, but proved himself to be a tremendous slouch nonetheless.
Excuse me, Mark? You, sir, are a jagweed.
What is it with the whole fixation on cheating spouses? Male or female. Does anyone take marriage vows seriously any more? Dude's got a wife and 4 sons, and throws that all to hell for some Argentinian broad named Maria? Now, I realize that many Argentine ladies have world-class rear ends and like to show them off in barely-there bikinis, and I've got nothing against a guy taking a look. Who would, really? But to throw away a solemn vow made before God for a piece of ass? That's just bullshit. And lazy, I might add; all those half-naked girls running around, and he can't find one with a name more exotic than Maria? Nothing against the Marias of the world, but that name lacks a bit of mystery, doesn't it?
But I digress. It seems that men can't even be good cads any more, either. They have to sneak around for their illicit affairs, rather than just having a mistress that everyone knows about but doesn't talk about. The old up-front-but-never-mentioned kind. At least you give the guy a little credit for being a proper bastard, then.
Anyway, Sanford's a twit and a jackass, and he needs to resign. If we as Republicans are going to live up to our self-billing as the party that actually has morals, we need to show them, or step down and let someone else take the reins.

Sorry for the Delay...
Hello, Gentle Readers (yes, you handful of crazies in the back),
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but the demands of youth sports have kept me quite busy over the last week, and is going to do so throughout July. But I'll try to be better about piping up with my two cents more often, and hopefully will get some help in the opinion department from Ranger Steve and the very active Lady Diamondback, if they ever quit making excuses and stop signing autographs and recant their jet-set lifestyles in order to help a poor patriot out...it's like they have lives or something...
