My daughter and I had our first softball game of the season this evening. She's a pitcher, my girl, and has to deal with her dad being the manager, but she hangs in there, and hangs tough.
We won tonight, and I'm happy for my girls. They played hard, held off a last inning rally, and earned the "W". Stuck together as a team.
My son does the same on his baseball team, although I'm only an assisstant coach, so he's got it a bit easier. We've had a lot of rain in our neck of the woods, so we've only managed to play 3 games out of 7 so far. We're winless, but I'm still proud of my son and all the boys. They're young, 7 and 8 year-olds, and still learning the game. My son is one of the 8 year-olds, along with his good friend and a few other boys from last year's squad, and we can tell its starting to click. The game is finally coming together in their heads. Its a beautiful thing to watch when it happens. Sometimes its as ugly as it gets, but they're 7 and 8, so who cares? The good plays in the field, done without a coach's help, are awesome, and make you proud.
In an earlier post, I mentioned an observation made by Col. Allan West, about how Hussein never grew up playing Little League ball, and how that really hinders his understanding of what it truly means to be an American. It made sense to me right off, and even more so now. How Hussein can claim to know the American people and believe in the American spirit is beyond me. He lacks so much, in many, many areas. If he would step back from that gargantuan ego of his and realize this, perhaps he would begin to understand why so may people loathe him on such a fundamental level. Hussein is not an American.
He might be a U.S. citizen, he may live in the United States, unfortunately he holds the highest post in the United States, but that's not enough. Hussein is not an AMERICAN. And never will be.

My 100th Post
This is my 100th post. Hooray!
So, to celebrate, I'm going to dedicate this post to Hussein's first 100 days, and highlight some of the monumental screw-ups the bastard has already foisted on this Great Nation. Yesterday's Chicago Tribune ran an article hitting the major actions of the first 100 days, so I'm going to crib from them and give my two cents. (In case you're that type, the article ran in Section 1, page 12 of the 4/29/2009 Chicago Tribune; their stuff in bold).
Jan 20th, 2009 - Barack Hussein Obama becomes the 44th president of the United States and the first African-American to hold the office.
The beginning of what will go down as one of the bleakest chapters in American history. A no-account senator from Chicago bullshits his way into the presidency. He didn't grow up in America, still has yet to definitely prove he's a US citizen, and has spent his life being a muslim, a socialist, and a "community organizer". Hussein can't lead his way out of a paper bag, and it's already beginning to show. I only hope we can survive his foolishness intact as a country. That remains to be seen.
Jan 22nd - Announces the closing of Guantanamo Bay prison and other interrogation facilities overseas and ban on use of torture.
That worked out well, didn't it? Many of the released Gitmo punks are already back on the battleground, waiting for their next chance to kill Americans. And we won't know they're coming, because Hussein has taken away most of the tools that are needed to obtain that information in a timely and accurate manner. So we dunked a few ragheads? BFD. It saved American lives, so it was worth it. And last I checked, no detainees were maimed or injured or killed, and got 3 hots and a cot while they were locked up. That's better treatment than our soldiers can expect from the enemy by leaps and bounds. But Hussein the muslim had to cave to angry raghead brothers.
Jan 23rd - Overturns a ban on U.S. support to international aid groups that provide abortion services around the world.
He can't rough up a few terrorists to gain vital information, but he can provide for the killing of purely and absolutely innocent life. What kind of fucked-up value system is that?
Jan 26th - Announces plan to allow states stricter motor-vehicle emissions and fuel-efficiency standards than the federal government. Gives his first televised interview as president to Arab satellite channel Al-Arabiya.
The prez finds it necessary to talk to the muslim world before his own country...well, the country he lives in, anyway. Sends a pretty obvious message, but the fools still basking in Hussein's stink-shit aura are blind to it. Also marks the first time the prez allows the global-warming crowd to advance their junk science.
A week in office and what has Hussein done? Set terrorists free, provided for the killing of innocents, rapped with ragheads, and winked at Al Gore. What a long four years this is going to be. Ho-Lee Shit-Tah.
Feb 3rd - "I screwed up," he tells a TV news interviewer after two of his Cabinet picks are forced to withdraw due to income tax improprieties.
That's what you want to hear from the prez after less than a month in office. Doesn't even know his own people, or doesn't care that he tried to sneak a few more bastards past the American people.
Feb 13th - Congress passes his $787 billion economic stimulus bill. Also, returns home to Chicago for the first time since taking office.
Hussein bankrupts the country for future generations after promising not to do just that. Swell of him. And he hasn't been in office a full month and already he's running home? What a pussy.
Feb 17th - Orders an additional 17,000 troops to Afghanistan.
After spending his entire campaign saying we have no business there and need to withdraw. Jagweed. Guess being the prez is a bit harder than organizing a neighborhood rally.
Feb 18th - Announces $75 billion housing recovery program to target foreclosures.
Wow. Hussein throwing money around like it grows on trees. Saving people from their own stupidity only begets more stupidity. But plenty of stupid, lockstep voters is what Bammy needs, so away he goes.
Feb 24th - In a speech before Congress, says, "We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States will emerge stronger than ever."
He sure has the Somali pirates shaking at that strength, doesn't he? In a little known fact, what was edited from that speech were the words right before he said the ones above: "After I get done fucking this country nine ways to Sunday and making a mockery of traditional American values, once I'm out of office..."
Feb 27th - Announces that all U.S. combat forces will be withdrawn from Iraq by August 2010.
Immediately afterwards, bombings and hostilities escalated. Very smooth, leaving a country during it's most critical rebuilding phase.
Mar 2nd - Releases nine long-secret legal memos from the Bush administration outlining a broad interpretation of presidential power.
Apparently to say, "This is not enough power. I want it all!"
Mar 8th - Says there may be opportunities to reach out to moderate elements in the Taliban to help stabilize Afghanistan.
Being a moderate homicidal maniac is still being a homicidal maniac. It just means you can wait an extra day for your next fix. An example of Hussein reaching out to his goat-screwing brethren, and the expense of American safety.
Mar 11th - Signs $410 billion spending bill despite criticizing its excessive pork.
That's because his cronies are expecting the pork, but he doesn't want it to be obvious. Hussein is really buying into his own press that he can do no wrong, no matter how wrong he is. The cult continues...
Mar 19th - Appears on "The Tonight Show" and compares his bowling ability to the Special Olympics; later apologizes.
What a freaking ego. Get off the damned TV and get to work! Its only been two months and already you need a break to inflate your ego? Very caring and responsible remark, by the way. I wonder when he's going to accept the challenge of the Special Olympics bowler?
Mar 24th - Unveils plans to help Mexico combat drug-related violence along the border.
Here's an idea: start shooting the bad guys. Here's another: let the Border Patrol do their fucking jobs without fear of lawsuits and jail time. Another: tell ol' Vincinte to get his shit together and crack down on the problems in HIS country. Yet another: close the border, and close it hard. Rats can't cause trouble if they're dead or can't get in.
Apr 6th - In a speech to Turkish parliament, says the U.S. "is not, and never will be, at war with Islam."
Yes we are, Hussein. You're just too ignorant, too pussified, and too subservient to the muslim world to realize it. Islam is a corrupt, ignorant, degraded and violent death cult, nothing more. It needs to be eradicated just like any other disease.
Apr 7th - Makes surprise visit to Iraq following visit to Europe.
And arrives to a carefully staged image-polishing session that in no way represents the feelings of the majority of the soldiers fighting there. A photo-op for his ego exploiting the men and woman who protect America's right to be stupid enough to elect an anti-American muslim to the White House. "Accidental discharge" could have taken on a fun and entertaining new meaning, but alas, no joy.

What the hell for? So terrorist ass-hats have better legal recourse when they're granted civil rights that should only belong to American citizens?
Can there be any doubt as to where Hussein's true loyalties lay? Hint: its not with America.

Kicking Socialism in the Teeth
A new campus group is making the reds see...red. The Youth for Western Civilization currently has seven campus chapters, and is looking to expand. Self-described as "America's right-wing youth movement", the group hopes to counter the expanding tide of socialist and multiculturalism on college campuses, and to restore the pride of being American and Western.
I find this outstanding, and a sign of hope. It shows that not all of America's youth are swallowing the bile that is too-frequently spouted on college grounds throughout America, and won't bow down to "the one" like their commie professors want them to.
Of course, the leftists are up in arms, calling the YWC little more than a hate group. Obviously it's now a crime to be proud of being white and American. You can say what you want, however, if you're non-white, or non-Jewish, or a goat-screwer, or a marxist; it's pretty much okay to be anything but white, Jewish, or American.
Well, fuck the reds. I hope the YWC grows by leaps and bounds and starts giving this multicultural bullshit all it can handle on the quads. Western Civilization created the prosperity that allows the world to continue to improve, despite the hurdles the apologists and globalists want to throw in its way.

I'm not really into blondes (which is why I married a brunette), but I'll tell ya, no one can call Carrie Prejean a dumb one.
Miss California announced today that she will be working with the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) in a campaign against same-sex marriages. Awesome.
Kudos to this young woman for taking a stance and sticking to her guns. In her line of work, it's got to be tough to have unpopular views (unpopular for the entertainment industry, anyway). But she has values, and believes in them. Good luck to her, and God Bless her.

Making Failure Okay
Ah, socialism. That grand bastion of incompetence, shortsightedness, and irresponsibility.
Don't worry, says Nanny State. Every mistake you make, no matter how ignorant or selfish, won't be held against you. I'll force some of those tired, hard-working folks to do some extra chores to help support your lazy, ungrateful ass.
That should have been the headline for the article I read in today's Chicago Tribune. Another piece on trying to make throwing more money down the toilet sound good. Hussein's administration now wants to give "financial incentives to encourage companies to modify the terms of troubled second mortgages." Which is a smooth way of saying that any company who plays ball and bails out the fools that got in over their heads in their race to entitlement will get comped on the back end by Bammy's Bunch. Many of these people wouldn't be able to pay back any of the money they borrowed under any terms other than "give us what you can". So Hussein wants to use taxpayer money to make up the difference to the lending institutions, so he can polish his image to the proletariat.
Here's an idea: let these people reap what they've sown. File bankruptcy, move into a smaller place that they can actually afford, based on their actual earnings and not potential income or any other "keep up with the Joneses" feel-good-about-yourself bullshit Nanny State wants to spout, and EARN the bigger house and nicer cars.
But Nanny State can't have that. People aren't to blame, some part of society is; usually the part that likes to see elephants on their ballots instead of jackasses...I mean, donkeys. No, I mean jackasses.
It's frightening how this country has gone from the "pursuit of happiness" to "gimme my free shit".

Arlen Specter has finally fallen off the fence he's been straddling and landed on the barren side of common sense. Going over to the enemy like this is something that, in another age, would have warranted a good axe to the head, or at least pistols at dawn; unfortunately, society has all these "rules" now. I'm still a huge proponent of decriminalizing dueling. I think it would rid the country of a lot of stupidity and boorishness in a big hurry, but I digress.
My main point is that even though Specter acted like a complete jackass to save his political career, I think overall that his defection will be good for the GOP. We've got this giant socialist storm to weather anyway, and this will give Conservative America another chance at filling a seat in congress with someone who actually holds our values. So good riddance to traitor rubbish. Let Specter hang with the rest of them.

We Need More People Like This
Check out this interview with Atlas Shrugs author Pamela Geller interviewing Lt. Col. Allan West.
This cat knows where it's at. I'll be finding out more about this guy.
One thing that he said that I really like, and what I believe encapsulates what it is to be an American: Col. West makes the observation that Hussein, who didn't grow up in America, never played Little League Baseball as a kid. This is one of those things that can be easily overlooked, but when someone points it out, it's a revelation. Hussein never played Little League; he DID NOT grow up as an American, yet he believes he understands the American people and knows what is best for us. The undiluted gall of this punk sickens me.
What Col. West says goes beyond just Little League. A lot of kids never play baseball, but most kids usually play some type of team sport: baseball, softball, football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, soccer, whatever...the point is they play, and youth sports leagues, whether town or city or church sponsored, are, like Col. West points out, an important thread in the American fabric. A thread that Hussein is not only missing but seems to relish not having.
Another wonderful observation by Col. West, which I completely agree with: even though Hussein likes to compare himself to Lincoln, he's really like Carter, but with one big difference. Whereas Carter might have been able to use the excuse of naivete, the Hussein administration is deliberately malicious to the American people.

Another wonderful observation by Col. West, which I completely agree with: even though Hussein likes to compare himself to Lincoln, he's really like Carter, but with one big difference. Whereas Carter might have been able to use the excuse of naivete, the Hussein administration is deliberately malicious to the American people.

I'm still riding the high of my Blackhawks sending the Calgary Flames to the golf course last night. Having fun pointing out what a pinhead Hussein is, enjoying the blogs of my like-minded compatriots, just really hitting a groove on a damp and blustery Spring morning. So I was thinking I might throw in a little piece on Hussein's wife. She's never had any blog-play here at the Sidearm, maybe it's time.

Swine Flu and Talking Pigs
Hussein's administration is at it again. Still Orwellian in species, the subspecies has mutated from 1984 to Animal Farm. The MSM, no doubt at the behest of Nobama's subordinates, are endeavoring to turn an outbreak of swine flu into a world-wide health crisis while Hussein himself appeals for calm. The Talking Pigs are beginning to stand upright. Create a crisis "the one" can save us from.
It's always a shame when innocent people die needlessly. No one likes to read about the deaths of children and old ladies, except the muslim scum-suckers that Hussein tries vainly to humanize. But let's look at this "potential pandemic" by the numbers: 149 suspected deaths, all in Mexico, with 1,995 cases total; 48 confirmed cases in five U.S. states, non fatal and most already recovered; 3 countries with confirmed cases (Canada, Scotland, Spain); 3 other countries with suspected cases (New Zealand, France, Israel). That adds up to 2,198 cases of swine flu, out of a world-wide population of more than six billion.

So why is this very minor outbreak of a very treatable disease getting so much media coverage? The answer is as simple as "four legs good, two legs better": the MSM has to create an issue that even Hussein's glaring ineptness should be able to fix. He can preach calm, tell the proles not to worry, have the CDC release "precious" anti-viral resources, and will the disease to stop spreading throughout the world. Hussein is so ridiculously unqualified for the job that even some on his side of the fence are beginning to take notice, and this is the ensuing damage control. Something to make the proles forget about how Hussein is in bed with marxists, globalists, terrorists, and tin-pot dictators, all oiled up and rolling around in an orgy of self-aggrandizement masquerading as concern for the people.
Although he is careful not to be involved, Hussein is also using the opportunity to attack his enemies (a growing list): Demo-Rats are now pointing the finger at Republicans who cut the flu-spending pork out of the grossly bloated stimulus package. Does it really take $870 million to fight a handful of flu cases? Only if one uses socialized medicine.
This seems to be another case of Hussein's cronies using the MSM to make their guy look good, exploiting a small misfortune so that "the one" has another chance to show off his dull, lackluster sheen.

Watch This Video!
Take a look at this soldier giving these Iraqi "police" the verbal bitch-slap they obviously need. I bet this guy could kick half of those Iraqis asses before the other half even started to react. This hard-as-nails killer is a shining example of the superiority of the American armed forces. General Petraeus is warning that Iraq could slide back into anarchy if the U.S. isn't careful about handling the situation.

What a shifty bastard Hussein is. Or thinks he is. Amid the legitimate concerns of the economy (which he is making worse, bankrupting the country in record time), and the wars America is fighting (which he is making more difficult, by seriously handicapping our troops and our intelligence services), Hussein is busy using that smokescreen to try and ram through his socialist domestic policies. Stem cell research, pro-abortion laws which include trying to force doctors to perform the procedure despite any moral or religious objections, a capitulating stance on same-sex marriage, and grossly unconstitutional firearms laws are all part of his effort to create a marxist dictatorship on American soil.
There has been a lack of outcry for many of these issues; not because people don't care, but because the Hussein-loving MSM are refusing to give them anything more than marginal coverage. Those of us in Conservative America are equally concerned with all of Hussein's anti-American, anti Judeo-Christian, anti-Freedom efforts.
