...Doomed to Repeat It.

Okay, it's Friday, and I'm a little lazy today. So I cribbed another blog; Ace over at AoSHQ can sue me if he wants, but I found this old cartoon he put up to be very apropos, given our current state of the Union.

It's from 1934, and illustrates FDR's "spend your way out of debt" plan. Eerily similar to Hussein's "spend your way out of debt" plan. Notice old Joe Stalin in the background, hiding his socialist boner under the trenchcoat. More explanation at the link above.

Hat tip to Ace.

If It Walks Like A Duck...

July 4th, South Akron, Ohio: six white people, a family of 4 and their 2 friends, are attacked and beaten by a mob of black teenagers, who shout "This is our world!" and "This is a black world!" The father suffers cuts, bruises, and a concussion; his friends take their lumps; his 15-year-old, 90lb. daughter is pushed to the ground.

Police in Akron are not ready to call the incident a hate crime.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Two white guys look at a black teenager cross-eyed and Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the ACLU call it a lynching and start talking about slavery.

The Akron PD needs to get off their incompetent, PC asses and start doing their fucking job.

Story at Atlas Shrugs.

What First Amendment?

Big Brother, i.e., the Hussein administration, is attacking the Constitution like no other regime in history. The latest assault comes in the form of H.R. 1966, the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act.

The meat of the act reads thusly:

‘Sec. 881. Cyberbullying

‘(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

‘(b) As used in this section--

‘(1) the term ‘communication’ means the electronic transmission, between or among points specified by the user, of information of the user’s choosing, without change in the form or content of the information as sent and received; and

‘(2) the term ‘electronic means’ means any equipment dependent on electrical power to access an information service, including email, instant messaging, blogs, websites, telephones, and text messages.’.

(b) Clerical Amendment- The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 41 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new item:

‘881. Cyberbullying.’.

So, pretty much this means that if one uses any sort of electronic device or medium, like, say, a blog or Facebook, to write a statement or series of statements expressing an opinion that someone else might find offensive, you get slapped with a felony, a fine, and prison time.

Imagine that in America. Cause some whiny, eco-thug, bleeding-heart twit "substantial emotional distress"? Felony. Tell some loudmouth jackass he's a loudmouth jackass? Felony. Speak out against the government that's trying to destroy your Great Nation? Felony.

I realize that this law came about because of a young girl's suicide brought on by cyberbullying. I feel for that family's loss, but you know what? I don't really care. To use something like that in an effort to restrict one of the critical components of a free society? I call bullshit.

This is another blatant attempt by the Hussein administration and their lackeys to re-write or blot out the parts of the Constitution that prevent them from turning America into a socialist, nanny-state dictatorship.

This story is all over, but a nod from me to Atlas Shrugs.

A Professional Opinion

Thought I'd share Ranger Steve's thoughts on Hussein's view of the Cold War and of the military in general:

I was a soldier serving at the end of the Cold War; got the medal to prove it. I was ending my career at the beginning of the new Global War on Terror. I served with pride, and were it not for a devastating back injury, I'd be serving still, almost at retirement. When I sit back and think about my time in the service, and being led under the command of Bush Sr., in the shadows of Ronald Reagan, it puts a smile on my face. However, I also served under Slick Willy, but managed to survive. Bill Clinton is truly the catalyst for the continued ruination of our military might. Despite Slick Willy's efforts to undermine it, Bush Jr. began to rebuild our military superiority. But now, under the current commander-in-chief, our nation is really starting to look like a joke in the eyes of the rest of the world. People need to realize that right now, the only thing keeping rogue leaders like Pajama Man and the fucking raghead who elected himself the president of Iran from a land invasion of the United States is the thousands of miles of ocean that separate us. We're lucky in that aspect of our geographical location. However, I really believe that if we were invaded by another country, there would be a continued anti-American movement from our own citizens, who would raise their peace signs and call for the American government to end the invasion. It pains me to say it, but sometimes I wish our boys in green would just walk away. Walk away, off the job, with no warning. Then maybe this anti-American attitude, being spearheaded by our own commander-in-chief, would come to an end; I see no other way. But our soldiers won't, as I wouldn't have, because it's their duty, to protect those who can't (or won't) protect themselves...it's called being an American. Thank God for the oceans, or this whole situation would be much different.

The straight dope, from an inside source. No need for me to add anything; you readers can engage your own little grey cells on this one. Thanks again to Ranger Steve.

Hypocrisy At Its Finest

I could have also titled this piece: "We told you so, you smarmy fucking jag-offs!"

This, from Fox News:

"The Obama administration said Tuesday it could continue to imprison non-U.S. citizens indefinitely even if they have been acquitted of terrorism charges by a U.S. military commission.

Jeh Johnson, the Defense Department's chief lawyer, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that releasing a detainee who has been tried and found not guilty was a policy decision that officials would make based on their estimate of whether the prisoner posed a future threat."

So, Hussein's boys are now saying that some of the brutalized, unjustly imprisoned innocents languishing in mortal and spiritual agony in Gitmo might have to stay there, because we can't be sure that they won't turn into bad guys somewhere down the road.

I'm pretty sure that's why Bush sent them there in the first place, but he was vilified and called a Nazi for doing it, and that Gitmo was a black stain on America.

It should be very interesting indeed to hear how Bammy's boys try to backpedal their way out of this one, 'cause they're fucked like dogs and they know it. Guess they'll have to try to persuade the "unbiased" MSM to ignore it.

Story here.

Revisionist History at its Most Ignorant

Hussein gave a speech in Moscow yesterday, part of his extended World Apology on Behalf of America. In the midst of this speech, Bammy said the following about the Cold War:

"Now, make no mistake. The change did not come from any one nation. The Cold War reached a conclusion because of the actions of many nations over many years, and because the people of Russia and Eastern Europe stood up and decided that its end would be peaceful."

Yes. He really said that. I'm half expecting the ghost of Jack Palance to rise up and rasp "Believe it...or not!"

.....

...Ever experience the mental equivalent of of running flat out on all cylinders, then accidentally downshifting into 1st gear instead of 3rd and hearing your engine scream "What the fuck!" in a harsh, metallic grating?

So...Bammy...WHAT THE FUCK???

Now we're actually supposed to swallow that America didn't win the Cold War? That the Soviet Union just shrugged and said, "Well, we've had a good run," and started taking down all the Lenin statues? That the countries of the old Soviet Bloc just said "That's okay, honest mistake," and went about their business? Now, I'm not as old as Hussein, but during the 1980's I distinctly remember a guy named Ronald Reagan running the Soviet Union ragged and calling them out at every opportunity. I also distinctly remember Reagan, who was President, by the way, telling Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on world-wide TV to tear down the Berlin Wall, and lo and behold, down the wall came. I don't remember a peaceful wind-down of the USSR, but I do remember them being cut to pieces over a decade after invading Afghanistan without the valid excuse we have for being there now. I wonder what kind of reaction Hussein would get about this comment from, say, the Czech Republic, or Poland, or Latvia or Estonia. Maybe he ought to run it by some of the Lithuanian SOF guys currently in Afghanistan: the crazy, balls-out daredevils that scare the living shit out of the Taliban. Maybe they can educate the Dear Reader on the political aspects of how the Cold War ended.

How fucking clueless can one guy be? I'm starting to understand why they try not to let him speak without a teleprompter: he can't be trusted not to say dumb shit without one.

Misplaced Adulation

From Ranger Steve:

I get in the neighborhood of 60 channels on my TV. In the days since Wacko Jacko decided to take a dirt-nap, I can't get more than 2 stations up the dial before running into the MSM's all-out MJ blitz. Seeing the hype, speculation, endless comments and endless coverage, it's obvious that this Great Nation of ours is in a frenzy. A frenzy over an entertainer.

A frenzy over a black man who tried his whole life to run away from being black. A man who ran away from who he was, and had an unhealthy interest in other people's children. A man with so many demons he hired private and unlicensed doctors to prescribe dangerous drugs to help him find release from what he'd become, only to die because the cure was worse than the disease. A crazy man, hiding from his race, his adulthood, his fame...a mannequin outdone by reality.

If only this country would pay the same attention to our fallen soldiers, who died honorably to provide the freedom and luxury for society to get so worked up by the demise of a fucking nut-bag, we'd all be in a better place.

One soldier's story here.

Thanks to Ranger Steve for the poignant insight. God Bless Our Military and Veterans.

Hussein's "Democracy"

Apparently, "democracy" in Hussein's administration means "support the guy who tried to circumvent democracy, because he's Chavez' buddy and we really like ol' Hugo".

What the MSM isn't telling us (no doubt on Bammy's orders), is that Manuel Zelaya has been ousted not by a military coup but by the Honduran people. Bammy's mouthpiece on the issue, one Ian Kelly, says that the Hussein administration is "very focused on the need for a dialogue to restore him back (to office), and restore the democratic order." (emphasis added)

This, despite the fact that Zelaya is opposed by not only the military and members of his own party, but by all the branches of the Honduran government. They booted his ass because they feared Zelaya was trying to set himself up as socialist dictator of the country, a la Chavez.

So how does restoring him to power further the cause of democracy? Well, it doesn't at all, but that's what Hussein and the jagweeds at the Useless Nimrods want you to think.

I'll do my own thinking, thank you very much. Hope and Change My Ass.

Another Gitmo Success Story

Another winner from Barry "I Do Stupid Shit Like That All The Time" Nobama:

Abdul Qayam Zakir, a mullah with the Taliban, was detained in Gitmo, then released. Now he has made his way back to Afghanistan, and has taken up where he left off, rousing rabble, killing civilians, shouting "death to America" in that goat-blowing gargle of a language, and generally being a pain in the ass to our soldiers. Zakir joins an ever-growing list of bad guys we let go who are now back to their old tricks: i.e., thinking of ways to kill and maim Americans, Israelis, and other like-minded people.

Add this to the ever-growing list of bad, bad fucking moves by the Dear Reader. May his next speech suffer catastrophic scroll-lock.

Coincidence?

For the 8 years that Bush was in office, I don't remember hearing much at all about the Norks. They'd occasionally come out with some kind of propaganda soundbite, just to keep appearances up, but that was it. They even made a big show of dismantling a nuclear reactor in the summer of 2008, letting the cowboy in office (and I mean that in a good way) know they were playing ball.

Then Hussein bullshits his way to Pennsylvania Ave. What do the Norks do? Revamp their nuclear program, and start lobbing test-missiles all over the place. They even find the stones to threaten us publicly if we try to stop them. Where will it wind up?

Well, the last time we had a Democrat in office, foreign intelligence was gutted and a band of rag-headed goat-fuckers wound up flying hijacked jets into American buildings after years of planning. After that tragedy, a Republican president stood up and started kicking ass and taking names. The bad guys kept up the bitching, but stayed off our shores.

A new Democrat, and Hawaii is threatened...are we seeing a pattern here?

Republican president: bad guys grumble, and keep their shit overseas.
Democratic president: bad guys shout, and vow to bring their shit to the USA.

Coincidence?

Hands?

Anyone else sick to freaking death of the lingering and overblown Michael Jackson coverage?

Just asking, because I am.

One of the girls on the All-Star softball team I coach tried to impress me with her "Billie Jean" cover the other day at batting practice. Cute girl, good ballplayer. The MJ cover...HATED IT! And, bastard that I am, I told her I thought Jackson sucked eggs.

I still don't feel bad about it.

Well, It Ain't Gitmo, But...

Almost 1500 people have been arrested in China's Xinjiang province, due to riots and ethnic violence. Over 150 have been killed.

At the root of the riots and killings? Muslim Uighurs. You know, kinfolk of the Uighurs Hussein let out of Gitmo, the ones busy sunning themselves in Bermuda. The nice guys that just got caught in the wrong net.

Islam: the religion of bullshit, the cult of crap.
