What Now, U.N.?

The Norks are going to re-start their nuclear program, in protest of the international condemnation of their rocket launch. The United Nations censure (read: stern look of disapproval) has made the Norks feel bad about themselves again, so they're going to show the world that we're not the boss of them, boy.

This would be funny if the Norks didn't already have the juice to make nukes. But they do, and they're just crazy enough to use them. And seeing as how they will likely use them on South Korea, Japan, or another point of interest to the West, the UN is going to stand by and watch them do it. Hussein sure won't do anything; he believes the note we left in the Norks locker sent a "clear and united message" of "real consequences". Which could be true, if we take "real consequences" to mean "more notes in the locker". That worked with the other Hussein, didn't it?

The UN reminds me of one of those mothers I see all too often: little Johnny is acting like a complete dickweed and needs a good kick in the ass, but all Mommy does is frown and say "Don't do that" over and over again.

I say it's time we take little Jong-y out behind the woodshed and beat the snarky bastard until his ass glows in the dark.

Story here.
