I'm very glad to report that neither of my kids' schools took part in the Hussein Youth activities scheduled for today. Had the schools been planning to participate, my kids and I would have spent the day practicing our 2nd Amendment rights.
No matter how the liberal wonks try to spin it, or how far the prez backpedals, the original intent was indoctrination: listen to politicians, be ready to serve the Dear Reader, let the Almighty State take your parents' place in your life. We can hear the Left howl with indignation at this idea, but methinks they doth protest too much. They spend 8 years vilifying a Republican president, because dissent is the highest from of patriotism, but now that their boy is in, suddenly the game changes, and it becomes rude and disrespectful to scrutinize the office of the President so closely. Well, the Libs are full of horseshit.
Something else the Left has conveniently forgotten: when Bush Sr. made a speech at a D.C. junior high in 1991, there was a Congressional probe into the event. Wonder what their reaction would be if Congressional Republicans started calling for a federal probe into Hussein's speech? Ah, I can hear the self-righteous caterwauling now...
