A gunman opens fire at an immigration center in upstate New York. He kills 14 people, including his deranged self. Tragic and sorrowful.
But watch the gun-banners sink their teeth into this story. It'll go from tragedy to Chicken Little faster than you can say concealed carry (which will be awfully damned fast for me, seeing as how I live in Illinois and our crooked and scummy politicians can't trust the people with guns. Although I'm beginning to think a lot of that has to do with the amount of lead that might drift in their general direction, otherwise). Guns are bad! Guns kill people! Guns make crack-heads! Guns cheat on their wives! Guns deal from the bottom of the deck and water down their whiskey! Guns...well, you get the idea. Free citizens are really children, after all, and Nanny State must protect them from themselves. So no naughty guns for you! Same old, lame old.
But what won't they say? They sure as hell won't say things like, "Golly, maybe if someone in that building had been carrying a firearm, they might have pasted that kook before he did any real damage, or at the very least severely curtailed the body count." Neither will you hear, "This is a good example of why citizens need to armed and ready at all times, to deal with all the crazies that thrive on ruining the lives of innocent people." A statement like that would really make CAIR mad, wouldn't it? Seeing as how the only thing CAIR believes in is shilling for a bunch of self-important dirtbags that want everyone to groove to the goat-humper sound. (CAIR, if you guys are reading this...eat shit and die.)
Watch, gentle readers, as Hussein's army of wonkey-donks politicize the hell out of this in order to further their marxist agenda. Somewhere along the line they might even mention the names of those who were killed, if it can garner more headlines. "You provide the tragedy, and we'll exploit the hell out of it."
