The Reason Why

I've already played baseball today with my son, and in a few hours I have a softball game with my daughter. After that, we're going to a friend's house for a cookout.

The over 150,000 men that stormed the beaches in Normandy 65 years ago are a big part of the reason my family still has the freedom to enjoy a Saturday like today. Our WWII vets are getting older and becoming a smaller group, but the thanks we owe them never diminishes.

So a heartfelt thank you to all of them, for going above and beyond the call of duty to keep our country free.

Too bad our current prez ignores and insults so much of our history, as he ignores and insults much of our citizenry.

We here at Constantine's Sidearm will never forget.
