Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) is becoming more and more vocal in his criticism of Hussein's economic policies, which basically amount to socialism in a shiny new package. I'm paraphrasing a bit here, but Sen. Gregg has said that following the latest budget proposal will put us on the fiscal path to "banana republic" status. Full article here.
What's funny about this is two-fold. First of all, I just think "banana republic" is a funny term. I picture a monkey in olive drab smoking a 5-cent cigar with a big, shiny, "El Presidente" bling hanging from his neck. Being a white guy from the suburbs, I hope I'm using "bling" in the proper context here. No, that's a lie. I could care less. But I digress.
The other funny thing is that Sen. Gregg was the guy Hussein had originally tabbed to be his commerce secretary. But Gregg withdrew his name from consideration. Probably after he saw that the prez had his budget proposal scrawled on a McDonald's napkin.
Know what else is funny? The article describes Nobama as a "left-leaning" Democrat. Left-leaning in the same way a capsized ship is "leaning" toward the water. Karl Marx had "left-leanings" as well. I would have expected something a little more on-target from FoxNews.
